We are looking for an experienced Live-in Caregiver to join our 8 bed Assisted Living Residential Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility ensuring that all residents receive quality care in accordance with established standards, regulations, and procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, and creating a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care and will have a minimum of three years previous experience managing a residential care facility. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and will be able to maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Providing assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.)
- Monitoring health status of residents and reporting any changes to medical personnel
- Prepare and assist with meals
- Helping residents maintain their independence by providing emotional support and encouragement
- Keeping records of daily care and activities
- Ensuring residents are comfortable and safe at all times
- Certifications must be current
- Medication management
- Reliable transportation to take clients to doctor visits
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent- Live-in 2-3 days
-Minimum of 3 years experience in a nursing home or residential care setting.
- Must have current certification in first aid and CPR
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license or state ID- Excellent problem solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Must pass medication and C.O.M.A.R. training
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
